About Us

A Legacy of Leadership: The Senior Chamber Movement

Our Humble Beginnings: On April 3rd, 1997, a group of visionary former Jaycees came together in Calicut to launch the Senior Chamber movement, driven by a shared passion for service and leadership.

National Expansion: By February 2002, our movement had grown exponentially, evolving into the Indian Senior Chamber, a national organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities.

Global Outreach: A decade later, in 2021, we took a significant leap forward, registering under the Societies Act XXI of 1860, paving the way for our transformation into an International Organisation. Today, we continue to build bridges, foster connections, and drive positive change across the globe.

“At the heart of our philosophy is a powerful conviction: social responsibility, meaningful involvement, and human connection are the lifeblood of an active citizen’s journey. Yet, we’ve noticed a glaring gap – the wealth of experience and skills possessed by highly trained individuals often remains untapped. Many of these changemakers, fueled by their JCI and NGO experiences, are bursting with passion and capability, ready to leave a lasting impact. Let’s unlock this potential and empower them to create a ripple effect of positive change!”

To bridge this gap, the Senior Chamber International was founded as a platform to harness and channel the expertise of socially committed individuals for the benefit of the community. By organizing and empowering senior members, we strive to continue the legacy of leadership and service.

Membership is extended to past and current members of JCI and other NGOs who are above the age of 40. This ensures a strong and resourceful network of seasoned professionals dedicated to serving society through purposeful initiatives.
